Well here we are my festive friends! The eve of Christmas is here and we are on countdown until the floor resembles a hamster cage, we all go for the world record of how many calories can you consume in a very small amount of time and we fall asleep just before the Queens speech. Bring it on! (Although I have got sooooooooooo much to do in the wrapping department I think I'll probably just get to bed as the kids get up!)
The house it glitzed and tinselled within an inch of its life...its a grotto extroardinaire! Unfortunately the photos don't really do it justice and the bare spaces stand out a mile but believe me there is not many a corner undecorated. The brussels are ready to rock, the bread sauce is cracked, the cranberry spiced up and the cake a complete and utter revolting wonder! It might cause offence...we will have to see! It certainly fits the theme! The PVC tablecloth is finally losing its overpowering chemical smell and creases, the sprawling fancy dress is almost back in its trunk and the Christmas cards have finally stopped falling down. We are ready to roll!
This 'project' has taken alot of time, thought and laughter and I fully appreciate everyone letting me bang on about my plans for what seems like ever :o) We are lucky to have such a life that we can concentrate on fun at Christmas rather than loss, flooding, illness or bank balances (well I have been closing my eyes to my statements to be honest!) and I am thankful for that. We hope to bring you some smiles with our antics :o) I am gonna play it by ear tomorrow as to whether I post piccies then or boxing day-depends if I get away from the kitchen and am coherent enough to type! Happy Yuletide to you all! Can't wait for Ophelia to open her pressies tomorrow (could take a while!) and rock her new outfit. I hope that all you readers are having as many laughs as we hope to have tomorrow in your living rooms with your friends, family, chocolate oranges and chipolatas! Happy Festivities! Adieu for now!x
