Well if it doesn't rain it pours in my life it seems! These past 9 days have been filled to the brim with FML moments ranging from wearing my 'classy' top back to front when frequenting the dining room in a four star hotel ( I did warn new man that I just don't do posh) to unwittingly divulging too much information to all and sundry in an attempt to avert a potential 'kids seeing things they perhaps shouldn't' disaster-now the whole neighbourhood think I am debauched! As much as I'd love to tell you all I think I've said enough already!! :o) In addition someone in a shop understood my interest in mannequins to be more than just enthusiastic if you catch my drift and I am left feeling like life is one big hilarious calamity where I am concerned (and I secretly love it)!
Ophelia however is shaping up much better in recent days-she is looking particularly hot this very thursday in Sandy from Grease leggings (after the car chase!) and even has pants on! Things are looking up. Her and Odette have been modelling today with 'Little O' sporting some rather hestonesque glasses and a rejigged top turned into a dress-unfortunately for the fans the look had been destroyed before the camera had a chance and Odette is now all but naked with a missing arm.
The most thrilling experience was had recently when the new man and I stumbled upon a fantastic little slice of paradise in Waterloo. As always in London I find the best plan is to get lost-you find the most interesting things that way and indeed my theory was proved right yet again as we found ourselves entering vintage mannequin mania at http://www.radiodaysvintage.co.uk/
Ophelia and indeed Odette would've felt right at home there and despite my instant overjoyedness I was gutted to not have Thing One and Two with me. They would've loved it! What a shop! It felt like home (its nothing like my home really apart from the mannequin and the kitchen unit but it was like my dream when all the other girls were dreaming about castles) and within 3 minutes I asked to move in. Lee who runs the place (we didn't get to meet Chrissie unfortunately) was so welcoming and friendly, could list the entire contents of his very reasonable priced shop and kindly let me take some pictures so when I am under a cloud I can be lifted to the dizzy heights that places like this transport me. Do check out the shop windows on the site-I want my living room to become like that-perhaps minus the clown because he freaks me slightly! There was I feel a few potential suitors for Ophelia in store and I hear that one is named Maurice-I think their names go quite well together really-the same level of class...rest assured Ophelia would NEVER wear a top back to front accidentally (she even wears no pants with panache)! Perhaps in another post you can cast your eyes upon these gents and help her decide (in a Cilla Black Blind Date sort of a way?)!
In other news Skitz the cat is currently obsessing over loo roll tubes, Thing One is spending almost her entire life plaiting and unplaiting her lovely hair, Thing Two is meticulously planning how he can trick me in to buying him an orange Porsche 911 and I'm just busy avoiding further calamitous adventures...without so far much success. Ah well, onwards and upwards ladies and gentlemen!
Here are some pics for you -some of Radio Days, some of other random stuff I found and loved in London...sorry 'bout the quality!
