For those amongst you wanting to know a little more about Ophelias past here is all that I know...Ophelia is an original Adel Rootstein mannequin who was discovered amongst friends patiently waiting for a new chapter in her life to begin, in a charity shop in Ely. Unceremoniously carried to the car in pieces Ophelia caused a stir amongst the public instantly and within a few minutes walk we had been stopped for a photo, potentially to go on the snappers next band album cover. Ophelia left behind two companions-another female with a rather twisted and anorexic body shape and a gentleman with no head. The trio had been donated to the shop after completing their contract at Ely Museum. Many months later I met a man who worked at Ely Museum and we discussed Ophelia-it appears that he had taken her to the charity shop and I had picked her up and that in her previous life she had been a rather dowdy farmers wife for many years as an exhibit at the museum. Boy is she glad to be outta there!
